As part of that commitment, our leadership team joined our call centre to listen to your concerns and answer your questions on February 16th, Hydro One Day. This new commitment means making it easier for you to share your concerns with us. Our recent Hydro One Day was an unqualified success. We received thought-provoking questions and comments from all across the province. We’ll be posting a selection of your questions and our responses soon. Be sure to follow us on social media for updates, including future event announcements.
Listening is an important first step, but we’re also following that up with action. So we’re working hard to make electricity more affordable for our customers through offerings like paperless billing and various support programs.
We’re also renewing our commitment to customer service: returning calls within one business day, no missed appointments and completing new connections within 5 business days. And we’re backing that commitment with a $75 guarantee.

Our customers have told us we need to be clearer about what we do, and what they’re paying for. For example, many customers who receive their electricity directly from Hydro One don’t realize that only about 37% of their bill actually goes to Hydro One to cover delivery – the rest goes to energy producers, federal taxes and other charges.
Hydro One is made up of a team of over 5,000 Ontarians who are dedicated to making sure our customers have safe, reliable, affordable power whenever they need it. Sometimes that means working around the clock in hazardous conditions and harsh weather. But we’re committed to making things better for our customers – because our customers are also our neighbours.
